Meet the Hula pilot team

Hula started as a collaboration with Gibson Ek High School in Issaquah, WA. The pilot team is making it easier for students to learn in a post-COVID world. Their hypothesis: learning can be more challenging and time-consuming as the internet becomes a primary source for class resources. Students need a place to quickly and reliably find information on concepts and topics that other students find helpful.

The team is building this place using computer science and design skills learned with Hula. Students submit links to resources that are up- and down-voted by peers based on their value. The team will measure their success based on improvements in time users spend locating useful class resources.

Interning at Hula allowed me to pursue and grow my passion for software engineering.

Interning with Hula has allowed me to develop my skills in a real world environment.

Interning at Hula has given me many opportunities to exercise my skills in graphic design and coding, along with developing my teamwork and problem solving abilities in a professional setting.
